Description

From a message sent by Dan Stromberg:

I find it a little bit frustrating that I cannot seem to find many good answers to poor moves with kombilo.

I was thinking... What if you fed kombilo a large collection of amateur games, ranging from 30 kyu to 7 dan (or so), and then modified the program slightly to show the average strength of the players who made a given move.

Then if someone makes an 8 kyu mistake in a joseki, you might be able to identify a 4 kyu's refutation. You could sort the moves not by how commonly they are played (or not only), but (also) by the average strength (or perhaps by one stddev below average, or one stddev above average, or...) of the player making such a move.

Whatcha think? I think it'd make a great contribution to the world's go study.
